How to Master the Timing of Growth
I recorded this video in lieu of a live workshop because I thought it was important to share this message with everyone. We all want to experience more growth, and we want it to be easeful. That ease often feels elusive when the world has told us that in order to grow we need to push, force, be uncomfortable. I disagree, life makes it easy for us to grow offering plenty of opportunities, we just have to watch for them.
Growth happens whether we want to or not, sure we can fight it, but the most rewarding and productive growth that has us aligned and happier occurs when we step with willingness to a moment of opportunity life provides us. You know those moments when everything seems very clear - when the proverbial lightbulb goes off and in an instant we know the truth. It may be that we're ready for our next job, or ready to leave a relationship, or ready to purchase a horse (this happened to me!). For a lot of people, clarity comes in micro-moments where we know one answer to the bigger puzzle we're trying to solve or goal we're trying to accomplish. It's important to watch for these moments because when you feel that moment of truth, you must act.
As I tell my clients often, when clarity comes, respond with a yes! For goodness sake, we spend so much time trying to get to clarity that when we have it turn in that ticket and get on the ride! It has shown up right when it's needed and if you take action, which I call inspired action, you are officially in flow state. And growth in flow state is way more comfy and often more magical because you become open to serendipity, miracles, and windfalls. When you take action on a nugget of truth, you have put clarity in motion and initiated the best kind of momentum.
It's important to remember that the size of the step you take toward your truth doesn't matter, it can be a leap (quitting the job with no backup plan) or a small step (researching, doing information interviews, etc.). What's important is that as life is giving you a "yes", you respond with a "yes". Don't let those windows of super-charged growth pass you by.
